Creating a great casual outfit may be easy for some but for others it can be really difficult. Fortunately, I have been able to discover these 3 easy steps to creating a great casual outfit.
1. Decide on one focal piece. For casual wear you don’t want to have to much going on. Pick one piece you want to showcase. For everything else choose pieces that won’t draw attention away form your main focal point.
2. Less is more when it comes to accessories. This again can tie into step number one. You don’t want to overwhelm any outfit admirer with a ton of accessories and jewelry. That is why I decided to go with some earrings which brought attention to my face and my Gucci belt. I chose the earring instead of a necklace because… 1. I didn’t want to cover the graphic on the tee and 2. a necklace would have been competing with the belt for attention.
3. Be sure to wear items that fit. wearing ill fitting clothes no matter what they look like or who the designer is always look unappealing. That means you don’t want to wear clothes that are too tight or too loose. Don’t get hung up with the number on the tag, sizing varies so much between garments and brands. Just remember the better the fit the better you’ll feel and look.

Note: The cardigan linked below is similar to but not the exact cardigan I’m wearing. Also I scoured the internet for a link to my graphic tee but couldn’t find it. It is sold at Nordstrom in store only. But you could recreate this look with any graphic tee.
